Many of the sane citizens of Maricopa County have been wondering why Arpaio was reelected last November because information emerged before the election that there were over 400 cases of child abuse that Arpaio refused to investigate. He chose pursuing and harassing Latinos he suspected of being undocumented over the victims of these crimes, so it’s no surprise to me that he has hired a child molester and domestic abuser to “patrol” schools in his county. I follow the blog “Phoenix New Times,” which does an excellent job of exposing Arpaio’s unfitness to be sheriff of even a dog pound. There is currently a recall petition circulating in Maricopa County to unseat Arpaio. If Randy Paraz and his associates are successful in this effort, we just may see the end of Arpaio’s dominance in Maricopa County. One can only hope.

This is my complete and total lack of surprise.

re: #1 majii

They got Russell Pearce, so I’m optimistic that they can get Arpaio too.

This is my complete and total lack of surprise.

Thug hires thugs. Indeed, no surprise at all. If they ever manage to nail this sorry excuse for a Sheriff, I hope whatever facility he ends up incarcerated in has a good supply of pink jump suits.
